TLG Reading - Centre Manager.
Starting Salary:£25,601 – £31,571 (FTE)

TLG is looking for a qualified teacher with a passion to turn around the lives of disaffected young people aged 12-16. Leading our TLG Reading Centre, the Centre Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional educational programmes with imaginative curricula for disaffected young people, with proven skills and strategies to re-engage those on the verge of exclusion.
Working in partnership with The Gate church and a number of other key stakeholders, the successful applicant will need to develop and maintain excellent links in Reading with schools, parents, referrers, and other agencies.
TLG is committed to the ongoing development of its staff. Through peer-to-peer support and learning, teaching and leadership training opportunities, and regular staff conferences for the national TLG team, we ensure that team members are able to share and grow their skills and experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent team and communication skills and a successful track record in leadership and management, as well as a strong and vibrant Christian faith. TLG is committed to safeguarding our children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. The successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.
The Gate Church is very actively at work in their local community and has several years’ experience running in an Independent school. The centre is central to their vision for community engagement and will involve the Centre Manager working with the full support of the church toward the project having a thorough integration into church life.
