Our Partner Organization

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL) has a long history and tradition. It was the first school for Palestinian girls of different social backgrounds. For today's Palestinian youth, there are four schools available: in Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, Ramallah and Beit Jala. They include 2 thousand students and 200 teachers. The pupils are 50% Christian and 50% Muslims. The selection takes place regardless of social class, origin, payment, religion and sex. The teaching is based on holistic and needs-orientated approaches and a tolerant value orientation that promotes talents and tolerates weaknesses as well.
