Teach maths in the morning?

Schools should alter their timetables to teach pupils maths in the morning and history in the afternoon if they want to boost results, according to research. A decade long study looking into the effects of rescheduling lessons at school has revealed that pupils performed better if they were taught maths before lunch than if the lesson was later in the day. But the same study showed the opposite was true when it came to history, where pupils showed a boost in performance if they were taught the subject in the afternoon. ‘Optimal times of the day’
